Talked to my daughter in MO tonight (I’m in San Diego). My grandson Logan started 1st grade a week or so ago. I asked if things were still going well. She said there had been some problems with him talking in the hall, but otherwise things were good! Little ones are so cute…and honest! I just found you and the birdie blocks a few days ago. I’m loving them. You are too clever….8-)

I can relate to the emotional rollercoaster of starting school. On the first day of school my kindergartener cried when I dropped him off. Which broke my heart. Then when I picked him up he said he had WAY MORE FUN with HER than he had ever had with ME. Which totally crushed me. Then the next day he cried because he didn’t want to go. Needless to say, I didn’t cry that day. 🙂
    Love the embroidery block…my favorite!

  21. Adorable – thank you again Corey!! I’m all ready to start block number nine!

Oh yay! One of the highlights of the beginning of a new mnth is seeing what you have decided that little birdies will be doing! I <3 fall, and this is so sweet! Thank you once again! I am still on March…maybe I will skip ahead, since this is inspiring me?!? Thanks for getting me interested in quilting AND in hand embroidery!

Hey Kris–in the above blog post where it says Birdie Stitches #9 in green, that is where you click for the printable pattern. If for some reason the link is not working for you, you might try updating your Adobe Reader. An uninstalled update can sometimes cause Adobe Reader to not read pdf’s properly.
